Everyone’s favorite community of apartments around FIU is back again with another helpful blog post for our residents. In this week’s post, we’ll be talking about some gifts that you should consider telling your parents about this holiday season.
We’re almost getting to that time of year when your parents start asking you what you want for Christmas. They’ll be expecting some kind of list that will make their gift-buying experience a little easier. It’s now up to you to provide them with that list. If you already know what you want, feel free to stop reading right now. If you’re in need of inspiration, however, you’ve come to the right place. This list of potential gifts is jam packed with the things you need to dominate college next semester.
Check out the list of perfect college student gifts below, and please be sure to share this post with your friends and neighbors at 4th Street Commons
Before you laugh at this ridiculous looking pop-up tent that goes over your bed, think of the possibilities! You can create campouts in your room, provide guests with a private sleeping space, or just get a little peace and quiet by covering your bed with a tent. Okay, so maybe this bed is a little impractical for people living at 4th Street Commons apartments by FIU. After all, we provide residents with their own private rooms, which kind of eliminates the need for a pop-up bed tent. However, this would make for a perfect gag gift for a little brother or sister just moving into the dorms. Who knows, they might even start using it on a regular basis. We’ll put this in the category of, “gifts for others.”
Yes, we know that your phone has a fully-integrated calendar that gives you alerts, tracks your friends’ schedules and is easily editable. However, using that calendar benefits only you. What we mean by that is, your phone calendar doesn’t contribute to charitable causes. The Me to We 18-month planner, on the other hand, does. Every time someone purchases this planner, the Me to We organization will donate school supplies to kids in need. When you buy this planner, it’s like you’re buying a planner for a child in need to educational tools. All that’s left is getting yourself to use it.
Most portable phone chargers are too bulky and ugly to carry around. Nobody wants to be that person who has to carry a separate bag just for their charger when they go out. Plus, phone batteries are getting better and better, so people are using phone charger less and less. With all that being said, we think this super slim portable phone charger is still a must-own. It’s about the size of an iPhone, so you can easily fit it in your pocket. It’s also powerful, so you can charge your phone when it dies after you’ve been out all day at a football game. If you had to decide between worrying about your phone dying all day or having peace of mind knowing that you have a portable charger, which would you choose?
