In this week’s blog post, you’ll find a list of the best restaurants that are close to apartments around FIU. Some of these restaurants may be a little pricey, so you might want to save your visit for when your parents come to town.
Check out the post below, and be sure to share this list of restaurants with your neighbors at 4th Street Commons FIU apartments. Let them know that they don’t have to eat terrible food just because they’re in college.
It’s difficult to find a time of day when Bocas House isn’t busy. That being said, the food is almost always worth the wait if you have the time. By all accounts, the best meal is the rice wok bocas. You should start things off with an order of the fried calamari, and end things with a tres leches milkshake. Bocas House is known for having delicious food from the beginning of the meal to the end, but they are perhaps best known for their amazing tres leches milkshakes. It comes in a gorgeous glass mug with the bocas logo on it, so don’t forget to snap a pic.
This is a chain BBQ restaurant, but we’re not going to exclude a chain from this list just because it’s not necessarily a local establishment. If you’re looking for BBQ near FIU, look no further than Dickey’s. The highlight of the menu is the brisket, which is just tender enough without being so tender that it falls apart before it gets to your mouth.
One of the appealing things about Dickey’s is that it doesn’t look like a traditional BBQ place. If you drive around Florida for any amount of time, you’ll see lots of BBQ joints that look run down. They’re usually made of wood and seem more like storage shacks than restaurants. That is not the case at Dickey’s BBQ Pit. This place is brightly lit and modern. You should feel comfortable while you enjoy your BBQ, and Dickey’s gets that.
Perhaps the most appealing aspect of Bravo! Peruvian Cuisine is its spacious interior. All that space means you’ll rarely have to wait in line, which is a rare treat in this busy city. Once you sit down, you’ll get to gaze at a menu that’s filled with various seafood options and other Peruvian food that you might not recognize, but should definitely try. If you order nothing else, be sure to order the ceviche. Also, word on the street is you can in on Yelp to get some free food. Give it a shot, residents!
This food truck in South Miami has better food than some of the best restaurants in town. Plus, it’s affordable, which is a major bonus for FIU students. El Toro Loco Churrascaria specializes in Brazilian meat. Even the pickiest eaters will be able to find something to enjoy at this food truck thanks to the extensive menu. Yelp reviewers recommend the churrasco, but we’ve also heard that the lamb and ribeye are good too. The churrasco, however, is the meal that got this place onto our list of the best eateries near FIU.
That’s our list of suggested restaurants for this week, residents! We hope you find a restaurant you like, and that your parents buy you all the food your heart desires.
